Resistor decoder
Read color bands, get bands for a value, check a meter reading against an EOL loop, and find the EOL value your panel expects.
Value to bands
Meter check
Disconnect the loop from the panel and read across the two wires with the device in its normal state.

FAQs
What EOL resistor does a Honeywell VISTA-20P use?
2,000 Ω (2k, red-black-red-gold) on the hardwired EOL zones, per the VISTA-15P/20P installation guide.
What EOL resistor does DSC PowerSeries Neo use?
5.6 kΩ (green-blue-red-gold) for single EOL. Double EOL uses two 5.6 kΩ resistors: about 5,600 Ω when secure and 11,200 Ω when violated.
How do I read a 4-band resistor?
The first two bands are digits, the third is the multiplier and the fourth is tolerance. Yellow-violet-red-gold is 47 × 100 = 4.7 kΩ ±5%.
Why does my meter read double the EOL value?
The loop is probably double EOL (two resistors in series) with the contact open, or a second resistor was left in the loop on a takeover.
