Self-service methods, SADP export and import, and Hik-Partner Pro cases. Official vendor steps only.

Last checked against Hikvision's official pages on October 17, 2026.

Which reset you see depends on the device and what was saved at activation: Hik-Connect or Hik-Partner Pro verification, a reserved email, security questions, a GUID file exported earlier, or an XML file sent to support.

SADP method: on the same physical LAN, check the device, choose Forgot Password, export the key file, and send it with a photo of the device label to Hikvision support. When they return Encrypt.xml, import it and set a new password.

SADP gets no updates after April 2026. Hikvision points people to HiTools Delivery for the same reset. Confirm the menu names in the current tool.

Installers with a verified Hik-Partner Pro account can submit a reset case with the encryption code or XML. After it is approved, enter that code on the device and set a new password.

Grey-market or rebranded units may be refused by support. Check the label before you open a case.
